the melrose trading post is a flea market on melrose & fairfax in the fairfax high school parking lot every sunday.

you should definitely go, it’s a lot of fun! its a dollar or two to get in but it’s worth it, everything’s pretty cheap inside.

I wish I had seen this instead…I took myself on a double-feature-solo-date on Sunday to see the King’s Speech and Blue Valentine, and I found both to be a little meh. the former wasn’t horrible, but I couldn’t wait for BV to be over; it just lagged on and on and on, especially since that story’s been told a million times…but maybe that’s just me…

Definitely try them, and take a stroll around the area if you haven’t. Los Feliz is my favorite part of LA. Fred 62s, also on Vermont, is awesome too. They’re open 24 hours and serve breakfast all day & night. No Place Like Home on Hillhurst is also really good, my bf and I like to go on dates there. Allston Yacht Club in Echo Park has great microbrews and small plates. (I think most people go for small meals/ snacks but my boyfriend and I just get 3 plates and share them which is great because we can’t usually do appetizers and meals when we eat out.)

I’ve never tried machos tacos! i’ll have to try them sometime once I get back from japan :)
